The Challenge:
ThemeDream was hired to design a cowboy/western theme to their corporate client’s annual department retreat in Napa wine country

The Results:
ThemeDream transformed an empty hotel ballroom into the outlaw world of the Wild Wild West. Guests got into character by selecting a souvenir cowboy hat and bandit scarf to wear all night. Their mean mugs were then photographed in our “Wanted” posters photo activation. As saloon music played, guests walked through a large Western saloon façade entrance and were immediately greeted by interactive Wild West actors welcoming them to the experience. Our authentic-looking saloon bars showcased spittoons and AI-rendered “Wanted” posters of all the company’s executives and served cocktails in old cowboy tin cups with playful garnishes such as scorpion, rattle snakes, sheriff badges and even large pistols (plastic of course!). Guests drank on lantern-lit wine-barrels and noshed on cowboy snacks at our “Grubs & Fixins” wagon stations.

Any misbehaved cowboys were playfully thrown into the town jail by our sheriff actor. Photos of our jailed guests were captured and memorialized by our photographer in a vintage-looking photo souvenir. Once guests gained their liquid confidence, many hung their egos at the bar and rode our mechanical bull and competed for longest ride time. Some guests took their chances at our blackjack and poker tables with other card sharks, while others played Western-themed games such as our shooting gallery, horseshoe toss and tin can slingshot! Of course, it would not be a hoedown without some good ole’ fashion line dancing led by our cowgirl instructor to country music and a high noon showdown performance by our Wild West actors.
